1 week with the super babies

"A baby is sunshine and moonbeams and more brightening your world as never before."

We've had both our boys home for a week now!

Saturday was our 6 year wedding anniversary- spent at home with the babies and eating take out chinese food...we had a good time. Nate and Alex had a great day taking all their bottles well and letting us sleep! Probably their best day so far.

We took the boys on their first walk in the stroller last week. They both slept the whole time. It gets them nice and tired before bed time.

They love being swaddled and they still like their pacifiers every now and then. One of the nurses told us that a swaddle blanket warm from the dryer always makes a fussy baby sleep- she was right! I'm using all the tricks they taught me!

We changed their feeding schedule-they now eat every 4 hours instead of every 3 hours and have been doing really well with it. Alex took 100 ml today and Nate took 85 ml! They graduated from their NICU bottles to the big ones! I love when they are awake and looking for food by chomping the air around their faces. I wonder if they think 'found it!' when we give them bottles....

So much has happened this year! Jim and I will never be kidless again! We've had a great 10 years together- fun vacations, a new house, nights out- we are definitely moving into a new stage together. We made it through a twin pregnancy, a scary delivery and a month and a half in the NICU. Now that the boys are home it feels like we've had them forever.

Nate doing tummy time
They both have been doing their tummy time homework. Nate can lift his whole head to look at us when we hold him. He likes to be on his tummy more than Alex. Alex will lift his head too but he loves to roll over and sleep on his side.

It's SO great to see how well you all are doing. The boys are getting so big, and they're absolutely PRECIOUS! I can't wait to talk soon, and don't forget all of those tricks-maybe write a book in your spare time or something. ;)

Congratulations on the beautiful boys you have. I just found your blog and read all of your posts - you had me crying on more than one post. I will pray that your little ones continue to have many successes each day and that they remain healthy. Congrats again!
