Little Alex is a lot closer to being on his way home! He has been doing so well. They are thinking he will be able to leave at the end of next week or the beginning of the following week. He has been taking 6 bottles a day and needs to take 8 a day.

He has been maintaining his body temperature on his own and is keeping his heart rate up and his breathing steady. He has been gaining weight and weighed 6 pounds 5.9 ounces two nights ago and is now up to 6 pounds 8 ounces! He does a great job with his bottles and loves burping. Alex is really mellow and relaxed. He's not a bi

g crier and usually just looks around at us when we're changing him or taking his temperature. He smiles a lot and will stare at us when we feed him or hold him.

Nate has been recovering so well! He is up to 4 bottles a day and has been eating really well. He's been doing a great job of keeping all his levels up and maintaining his temperature. He is a baby pig and is tipping the scales at 7 pounds 1.4 ounces!

He fusses and crys and still loves his pacifier. He makes little grunting pig noises when he eats and loves looking at us.
He's doing

a good job of catching up to his brother so he can leave soon too. It's really unusual for twins to be able to leave the NICU at the same time. We're hoping he'll come home a week after Alex. That will give me a little time to get adjusted to one first! I can't wait for them to be at home!
