Adventure outing to the creek

 A lot of pictures from a day that was a lot of fun!

Today was beautiful so we took the boys to a park in the neighborhood. There's a creek behind it so we walked over to it. A few boys were playing by the creek....with a dying snake that they caught and had beat to death with rocks. Jim assured me that it was probably a pet that was let loose and by then the boys had edged into the creek so we spent the afternoon in the creek! The boys loved every second, especially Adventure Alex who didn't need to hold anybody's hand and just ran wild in the creek. Jim did take a time out to (sigh) rip the head off the snake for the boys. They wanted it as a souvenir and couldn't quite get it off. Jim assured me that this was a normal boy activity and was not an early sign of a child psychopath. Loving the beginnings of my life as a boy mom!
