23 months!

 Alex- 23 months

Alex has been talking a lot and sounds exactly like Nathan! I have to look at them to know who is talking because their voices are so identical. Since their hair cuts I have mixed them up more than ever. Alex loves his squeaky Sophie giraffe and gets so excited to see her. He carries her around all day. He has been eating really well and has been great with his fork and spoon.  He definitely tests us and tries to see what he can get away with. If he wants attention he'll do something bad just so that we have to focus on him. If I'm sitting with Alex and Nate comes over Alex will scream and push him away.  Usually they play really well together and love slamming doors together, playing outside in the sandbox and playhouse and stealing toys from each other. He's been really good at understanding us and listening. We've been walking with them more and carrying them less. Alex loves pushing his cart, lawnmower and new fire truck push toy around. He takes it very seriously! Alex and Nate have all of their teeth now, but some of them are not all the way out. They hate getting them brushed. Alex also runs away if you say that his diaper needs to be changed. He loves throwing things into our bathtub and really wants to play with the toilet. He is too cute and so sweet!

 Nathan- 23 months

This boy has taught us the meaning of a tantrum. Wow. Nathan definitely wants what he wants! He is usually a very sweet boy who loves to hug us, pat Alex on the head and pet Tank all day. Nathan has been talking a lot as well and the boys both think that whispering is too funny. They both have only figured out how to whisper "uh oh" and "hi" everything else has to be at full volume.  The boys got a new fire truck toy that they both love and hate sharing. Alex was riding it and pushing it along when Nate came over and pushed Alex around in it! Nathan has been eating well but enjoys saying no so much that he keeps us a little confused at all times. He'll beg food from us and when we give him some he'll say no and walk away. Nathan has switched and become the better sleeper lately. Hopefully the nice weather will continue so that we can play outside without getting a runny nose from the cold. Can't wait for these 2 to turn 2 next month!
