9 Month Stats

Dr. Newton walked into our room today to see Alex and Nate sitting up and talking up a storm! "when did they get so big?!" he asks.

As always, they are perfect! A+'s all around.

Alex's stats:

Head Circumference: 19 inches (over 97th percentile)

Height: 29 inches (75th percentile)

Weight: 21 pounds (5oth percentile)

Nate's stats:

Head Circumference: 18. 5 inches (90-95th percentile)

Height: 28.5 inches (50-75th percentile)

Weight: 21.5 pounds (50-75th percentile)

We did the 9 month developmental screening (can they sit up/pick up toys/babble/roll/etc) and they did great! Dr Newton says they are perfect for 9 month old babies, not even just for their adjusted ages. So great to hear. He says that he sees more and more babies that just don't like being on their tummies and develop crawling later. Especially boys (proof that women are superior), girls typically develop faster.

Next to work on will be transitioning to 'real' food! Right now we're trying the stage 3 Gerber foods with chunks that the boys will eat. They don't like the organic baby food with bigger chunks so we'll work our way up to that. Then I want to get a baby grinder to start grinding our table food for them to eat. Only a few more months with formula, we'll definitly be able to afford to take a vacation after that :)
