Learning fun

I know that the terrible two's come with tantrums and screaming but I have been loving this age so far. Since the boys have started their school we have seen so many new things that they can do. One of the best new behaviors is their ability to sleep now! At school they take a nap from 12pm-2:30pm everyday and on day one they took a nap at school. From 18-24 months they had been such horrible sleepers, they wanted to stay up til 11pm, sleep in our bed, get up and play etc. Now we put them to bed at 8pm and they sleep all night til 7:30am. It's been life changing. They follow directions and love doing things by themselves and they love communicating with us. They've even started sharing and handing each other their milk and toys when we ask them to.

Alex and Nate both love saying 'uh oh' when something drops, when their brother gets in trouble, if they do something bad, etc. Last week Alex started saying 'uh oh doo doo' I'm not sure what doo doo means (maybe it means Nathan?) but I loved the way he would say it in a forceful accusing way. It was too funny. We've been learning our body parts and singing 'head, shoulders, knees and toes' a lot lately. They both love showing their tummies and pointing out their heads and toes. Eyes! is a favorite thing to say and point to, yesterday their teacher said that Alex pointed out the eyes! to all of the other kids in the class for them....

They have a pirate ship toy that sings songs and makes a monkey sound that the boys love to imitate, especially Nathan. He makes the best monkey sound when we ask him what monkeys say. He loves animals and will race to dogs, bunnies and birds to pet them. Nathan also points to his high chair when he wants to be fed now. "More" is another favorite word too. It's so fun to watch them grow up!

Feeling, sorting, transferring and pouring beans!
Over an hour of entertainment , which in toddler time is a week....
