A Year and a Half Old!

 18 months!

18 month Nate-
The door spider. He hides behind doors and loves to close them. All day. His favorite game is when Alex stands on one side of a door and they push it back and forth. He is learning to be a charmer and when he wants to try our food he walks up and smiles. He also will offer a deformed cracker as a trade for our dinner. Nathan has been a great sleeper and eater lately. Although, if he gets in our bed it takes an army to get him out of it. He thinks it's his rightful place. He loves watermelon and prefers to eat by himself. He doesn't like tater tots, which may be the first food that he has refused. The boys eat a lot of fish and just tried shrimp for the first time. Nathan has two top molars now and a lot of spaces in between! He loves being chased by Alex and Daddy. He also plays hide and seek and is super serious about it. The other day we were at the park and he was standing behind a chain link fence for probably 10 minutes waiting for Alex to find him. He loves his brother and will pat his head or rest his head on Alex's shoulder. Nathan's tantrums are top notch. He goes stiff and kicks and screams. His screams sound outraged that he can't do what he wants. He babbles a lot and enjoys mimicking us. Especially when I am shooing them out of somewhere and say "go go go," he loves to repeat this. They also like to whisper and have us whisper back.

18 month Alex-
Our house comedian. He cracks up all the time! I love when he starts laughing out of nowhere. Nathan always joins in and then they laugh at each other. Alex and Nate have learned to throw balls overhand, which they love doing. They also like carrying buckets or baskets around. I like to load a bucket with surprises for them to play with. He loves being chased and lights up if you say "he's going to get you!" Alex loves details and figuring things out. He always pokes buttons and needs to touch drain pipes, holes, etc in the ground. He has been sleeping and eating really well. Alex loves his food and sometimes cries when he's done eating and wants more. He loves other kids, but he loves his brother the best. Sometimes when they are not in eye sight of each other they let out a dinosaur-like scream as a check in so they know where the other is. When one of the boys is playing with Daddy the other one will come over and smile and laugh and just watch, it's so sweet, like they are happy when their twin is happy. Alex is generally more content and calm than Nathan, he has been shut into the laundry room, bedroom and pantry countless times by Nate lately and has been a saint about it. When Alex does want something, you better be ready for a fight though! They are the sweetest boys and love discovering new things right now. We can take them anywhere and just let them run around and explore. Doctor appointment is on Monday so we'll see how big they have gotten!
