Alex is all smiles and giggles these days. He spends most days crawling at lightning fast speeds to furniture, pulls up and walks to anything he can get to. We are right around the corner from having two walkers! Both boys will use the walker car toy and are getting good at taking steps. Alex is loving the pool and we have been taking them a lot now that it's been over 90 degrees every day. He was laughing so much on our vacation - in the ocean when the waves hit him and in the car seat, just because! He loves to make us laugh - he shakes his head no and waits for us to laugh. Alex loves to play with the door stops in the house, they make a loud boing sound that makes him crack up. Alex also likes to play with his cheerios- he lines them up and presses on them to make them shoot across the room. He's a smart little guy! He says Hi, Hey, Dad, Dadda, Mom, Mommy. Alex has about 6 teeth now and his hair is really getting long. I love watching them play more and more together. They like to crawl towards each other smiling. They love to play with toys that make loud sounds on the tile. They steal toys from each other back and forth all day.
Nathan is grabbing and throwing and exploring everything he can get away with. He really wants to crawl to Tank but by the time he gets there Tank will run away. This confuses him. He also really wants to get into Tank's dog food. We have to put it up now. Nathan loves the pool and riding the wagon to get there. He likes to play on the pool steps and walk around splashing. He always wants to be moving. They have been sleeping really well most nights, I think they wear themselves out being so active now. When Nate does wake up at night he immediately sits up and then stands. You can tell he is exhausted and he'll fall back asleep immediately so I'm not sure why he stands up...just a funny baby stage I guess. They eat tons of food. Tons. They really like their vegetables- they love peas, carrots, spinach and their fruits. We have started giving them fish- tuna or salmon once a week and they love it. They drink about 20 ounces of whole milk each every day now. They eat any and everything and we haven't had any allergies to anything. They are both wearing 18months- 2T sized clothes and I think they just had another growth spurt and are looking taller. Nate says Hi, Hey, Dadda, Dad, Mom and Mommy too. He also likes to make an OHHHHHHHHHH sound a lot and yeah sometimes. We have decided to take a break from restaurants with the boys until they get over the screaming at the top of their lungs in public stage...
We just sold their tandem stroller and are on the hunt for a nice side by side stroller to use for the next few years. We have been taking the wagon everywhere lately and it has been a great buy for us. We just ordered a gate to keep them away from the stairs and the study. Next we'll order the kitchen and bathroom cabinet latches. Big boys can get into big trouble we're finding!
