8 Months!

At 8 months old the boys have conquered every vegetable and fruit and are trying the meats and odd combination baby foods (apples and chicken, mac and cheese, banana mango, plum and brown rice, etc). They love eating and haven't refused anything yet. They've been sleeping from about 8:30pm to about 7am most days. We're back to 2-3 naps a day but skipping one doesn't ruin the day either. If we're busy and have something to entertain us then we are happy! Both boys are close to 19 pounds now and are growing so much. Nathan has the chunkiest turkey legs now and Alex is really gaining fast. We love playing in the jumparoo the most right now. The big swing had to be retired because it was high up and the boys would squirm and try to lift out of it! The little swing is still entertaining, especially if it is facing our brother. They LOVE watching each other and screaming back and forth. They also love when they scream and mommy screams back. We have been having fun playing sitting up like big boys. They can't ever say they didn't have enough toys growing up.

Their fine motor skills are getting so good. They pinch, pull hair, remove and put back their pacis and pick up everything. We'll put their burp clothes over their faces and they can both remove it in seconds. They love splashing in the bath now too. Alex threw an empty plastic container of carrots on the ground the other day!

Sitting up on our own is another big accomplishment this month. Nathan is so strong and can play, grab and look around while sitting, Alex like his tripod position a lot but is getting really good as well.

We love watching yo gabba gabba and they will both smile when it comes on. I sing their songs constantly now...

We have been practicing our crawling and I keep waiting for them to take off one day. Alex is great at kicking and Nate is so strong with holding his body and head up. Won't be long before we're mobile.

The boys have been having a great time with Jim's mom, maw maw! I'm working on pronouncing this correctly.... She entertains them thoroughly and probably has been getting the best sleep in years while here. Jim might have been a handful growing up but now she has two handfuls! We've happy she's here and the boys love her.
